The last days of summer

Summer started in Inverness on Thursday 17th July with the first night of the Ironworks Summer Showcase.  This 8 week musical feast comes to an end on Thursday 30th August, perhaps the day Summer will unofficially end?

By the time 30th August comes the Summer Showcase will have drenched the musically thirsty of Inverness with a diverse range of some of the finest emerging acts from the area.

Once again the Ironworks Showcase series has been a success in bringing together a weekly collective of great music and drawing in a regular healthy number of fans each and every week.

But, let’s not lament the Summer Showcase yet!  There are still 2 weeks to go with 6 acts costing you only £3 per night!  Summer is still here and we have a MixTape of two halves to celebrate.

Our second Summer Showcase MixTape for the Ironworks features 4 acts on side 1 who have previously appeared at the Showcase and on side 2 there are 4 who are still to appear!

So plug in and enjoy, and don’t forget to turn the tape over…

Showcase #7 features Sienna Lights (the artist formerly known as Inverness singer songwriter Graham Brown), shining alternative rock male and female collective Thousand Stars and an alternative R&B/soul vibe from Fifi & Rodaidh.

Showcase #8 features the eagerly anticipated appearance of Roadway, the grunge influenced melodic sound of The Oxides, and the rock ‘n’ roll extravaganza that is the Toby Michaels Rolling Damned.
