It’s the moment you’ve all been waiting for – Netsounds Unsigned’s favourite albums of 2012!
The list has been compiled following an extensive poll of Jamie and Murray’s record collection from the past year. No-one else has been consulted, so there!
Every year we publish a list of emerging acts that have won us over, and fear not that list is still to come before the year is over. In addition, this year we have also decided to share our list of best albums from 2012. As fans of Sonic Death Monkey and Kathleen Turner Overdrive will appreciate, we love a good list.
For our list of albums of 2012 we are going to be a bit controversial. This is a list that includes acts who are signed and dare we say it have already emerged! “Netsounds Sell Out” read the headlines. Truth is, as much as we love hearing or seeing a new band live we do do listen to acts that are more established. There you go, we’ve said it. Gone are your images of us relentlessly absorbing music from bands that don’t even exist yet. We’ve sold our soul. Well, not really. These are our own personal choices, the albums that we have listened to and enjoyed the most in 2012. Maybe you have to.
